Download, install and get started

When the app is downloaded, the required information is transferred to the App Store, in particular the username, email address and customer number of your account, the time of the download, payment information and the individual device code. We have no influence on this data collection and are not responsible for it. We only process the data insofar as it is necessary for downloading the mobile app to your mobile device.
 

You can also download the app directly to your mobile device free of charge from our website. When downloading, further user data is processed via the website, about which we inform in the data protection declaration of our website www.hobby-caravan.de. 
 

A HobbyConnect help service subscription and a user account are required for unrestricted use of the app. For this we process your name and your email address as well as your individual access key, which you received from your dealer. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. b GDPR.

Use of the app

When using the app, data is processed that you voluntarily provide in connection with the use, such as nationality, language, license plate, planned routes.

You can connect the app to your hobby caravan or motorhome and thus control functions such as heating, cooling, lighting, etc. For this purpose, the app processes data from your hobby caravan or mobile home, such as glowing lamps, water level. Battery status, heating status, etc. This information is stored on our server. We use the data you provide to fulfill the contract, namely to operate the vehicle control. The legal basis is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 lit b. GDPR.

When starting the app, you can allow or deny access to location information and its files. If you have consented to the use of your location information, your whereabouts will be processed. Only the last GPS position is saved, as soon as a new position is transmitted, the previous entry is deleted. The legal basis is your consent according to Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future in the settings menu of your device.

Creation of log files

When using the app, we collect the following data:

• IP address
• Date and time of the request
• Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
• Content of the request (specific page)
• Access status / HTTP status code
• amount of data transferred in each case
• Website from which the request came
• Browser
• Operating system and its interface
• Language and version of the browser software
   

We also need your device identification, your unique number of the end device (IMEI = International Mobile Equipment Identity), your unique number of the network subscriber (IMSI = International Mobile Subscriber Identity), mobile phone number (MSISDN), your MAC address for WLAN use and your name Of your mobile device.

The data is technically necessary for us to offer the functions of our app and to guarantee stability and security. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR.

This app does not use cookies.

Advertising identifier and advertising ID

For advertising purposes, we use the so-called "Advertising Identifier" (IDFA) on iOS devices and the Google advertising ID on Android devices. These are unique, but non-personalized and non-permanent identification numbers for a specific device that are provided by iOS or Android. The data collected via IDFA / advertising ID are not linked to other device-related information. We use IDFA / Werbe-ID to provide you with personalized advertising and to evaluate your usage. If you activate the option “no ad tracking” (iOS) or the option “deactivate personalized advertising” (Android) in the settings under “Data protection” - “Advertising”, we can only take the following measures: Measure your interaction with Banners by counting the number of times a banner is displayed without clicking on it ("frequency capping"), click rate, determining unique usage ("unique user") as well as security measures, combating fraud and troubleshooting. You can delete the IDFA / advertising ID at any time in the device settings, then a new IDFA / a new advertising ID will be created which will not be merged with the data previously collected. We would like to point out that you may not be able to use all the functions of our app if you restrict the use of IDFA / advertising ID.

Location; Passing on to service providers and third parties

We have your data processed by contract processors who operate our app and the required servers for us. When using the app, your data will be forwarded to Mobile Connect i Tenhult AB, Brogatan 24, 331 30 Värnamo, Sweden. This processor is bound by contracts in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. And only acts according to instructions. Your data will only be passed on to third parties if there is a legal obligation.

Routine deletion and blocking of personal data

Your data will be processed and stored for as long as is necessary to achieve the storage purpose. The data will then be deleted, unless there is a statutory retention requirement. Such a retention obligation can result in particular from the Commercial Code and the Tax Code. The resulting retention obligations can be two to ten years.

You can delete data that you have voluntarily stored in your user account at any time.
